If you want a natural and true organic sound like crystal clean water gurgling down a mountain stream, then you will be mesmerized playing and feeling the sound of this Mali balafon. Default tuning is G major pentatonic. The wood for the keys is called goni (pterocarpus erinaceus) a quality West African musical instrument wood, the gourd resonators below each key amplify it’s sound. Two rubber tipped playing mallets are provided with each instrument.
